The figures above were made by children using adhesive plastic during a workshop on the island of Curacao. They can be manipulated by hand inside the lantern to make the projected figures dance.


Workshops

In Giant Light Circus children are able to experience the effects of light and shadow – the basic principles of projection – in an enjoyable way. The performance shows that with simple means it is possible to create large-scale effects. The visual music theatre inspires children to experiment with light and music themselves.

Musiscope offers tailor-made workshops to elementary schools, developed by Marie Rademaekers. She is a visual artist and also works for the Projection Project, in which children create their own light and shadow images, and stage a contemporary shadow performance.
